Hello! I will tell you this, I am not much of a handbag girl. I own two handbags, one of which I have carried steadily for the past 18 months. With that being said, I can vouch for its quality. The black leather bag I carry is from J.Crew [seen here, here and here] I have carried it for over 18 months constantly. It has been on trains, plains, busses, taxis and multi different cities’ metros. It’s been rained on, snowed on, left in the sun, sat on the ground, stuffed full of books… you name it, it has seen it all. And it still is in beautiful condition. 

So I could recommend you look there, unless they have begun to make poor quality bags since I have purchased mine it is top quality. I also have a friend who has had success with the Coach Classics line. The ones that are full leather, and no gross logos. I’m contemplating purchasing another handbag in the coming months and I am looking into some of those as options.

Other than that, I personally can’t recommend any other brands for leather ones. I hope that potentially helps your search. What have you found so far that you are considering? Anyone else have good brands for classic black leather bags that are quality?

I love the SC for LV too! It is my dream bag as well. I just cross my fingers for one day.. hopefully!
